• HDRP is set in the future, 2106, and so there are no relations to any canon characters from the Harry Potter books.
  
• This also means if your a first year you're probably born in 2095.
  
• There are not many traces left from Voldemort and his ideals. Of course there are still pureblood ideals, but that doesn't mean every pureblood who has pureblood ideals is a Dark Wizard. Remember this.
  
• Please do not have an overly dramatic history. One, maybe two (minor) dramatic happening are fine, but don't overdo this, you won't get yourself popular with that.
  
• And last but not least, if you want a character to have special ability (Seer, Animagus, Parselmouth etc.) or when having a special power (Werewolf etc.)
